Data Protection
JN Foundation is committed to the protection of your privacy rights and of your personal data as defined in the Data Protection Act. In order to enter the Safety Through the Lens: Motorcycle Helmet Safety Visual Arts Competition, otherwise referred to as the MHS Visual Arts Competiton, we will require your personal data, which may include, without limitation, your name, email address, phone number, postal address, along with any other information required for entry in the competition. For participants under the age of 18, parental or guardian consent will be required for the processing of their personal data. We will use your personal data solely for purposes related to the competition, including determining whether you have won according to the competition rules, to contact you in relation to the competition and in line with the details within the Assignment of Rights section below.
We shall process your personal data on the basis of your consent to participate in the competition, agreeing with the guidelines stipulated within the document. Your personal data will not be shared with any third parties without your explicit consent unless required by law and we shall always ensure that appropriate technical and organisational measures are in place to protect your data from unauthorised access, loss, or misuse.

Assignment of Rights
By entering the Safety Through the Lens: Motorcycle Helmet Safety Visual Arts Competition, otherwise referred to as the MHS Visual Arts Competition, all entrants grant the irrevocable, perpetual, and exclusive rights to the Jamaica National Building Society Foundation (also called JN Foundation) and authorised parties, to reproduce, distribute, display, commercially use and create derivative works of entries rendered in the course of the competition. This assignment shall include the right to make photo images, audiovisual and sound recordings of applicants and their entries, as it relates to the competition and the sundry promotion of the same. Display and distribution of applicants’ entries shall include but are not limited to islandwide and international exhibitions, DVDs CDs, brochures, catalogues, books and other marketing collateral. This assignment shall also include the right to broadcast on radio, television and the world-wide web. Additionally, by entering the MHS Visual Arts Competition, each entrant grants to the JN Foundation and authorised parties, the unrestricted right to use all statements made in connection with the competition and photographs or likeness of entrants, or choose not to do so, at its sole discretion. The JN Foundation and authorised parties shall not be required to pay any additional consideration or seek any additional approval in connection with the use. Display or publication of any entry prior to judging and the announcement of winners is strictly forbidden, unless authorized in writing by an authorised employee of the JN Foundation.
Warranties and Release
The entrant hereby warrants that he/she is duly authorised to grant the rights and agrees to indemnify and hold the JN Foundation and Authorised Parties harmless from all claims that may arise from third parties as a consequence of the exercise of aforementioned rights. If the entry contains any material or element that is not owned by the entrant and/or if any persons appear in the photograph, the entrant is responsible for obtaining prior to submission of the photograph, all releases and consents necessary to permit the exhibition and use of the photograph as set forth in the rules and assignment of rights without an additional compensation.
Responsibility
The health and safety of MHS Visual Arts Competition entrants shall be the sole responsibility of the entrant institution and/or the entrant’s parents/guardians. The JN Foundation takes no responsibility for any injury or damage to property that an entrant may incur.
