MLGW Sponsorship Request
Memphis Light, Gas and Water (MLGW) is proud to support local community projects and nonprofit activities within our service area through special event sponsorships, advertising and partnerships. Requests for sponsorship are open each year on January 1. In order for your application to be consider it must be submitted a minimum of 90 days prior to your event. MLGW will review applications monthly. Requests must:
- Advance the mission and goals of MLGW.
- Demonstrate value to MLGW rate payers of MLGW and to the residents of Shelby County.
- Primarily serve a non-profit, civic, or local community organization.
- Support strategies that are compatible with MLGW areas of focus.
- Enhance company perception by identifying Memphis Light, Gas and Water with positive values and community support.
- Conform to all federal, state, local laws, and all applicable policies including ethics and conflict of interest ordinances and policies.
- Provide no competitive advantage, benefit, or preferential treatment for the recipient outside of the sponsorship agreement.
- A completed application form is required for consideration.
- If approved, must show the pre-approved MLGW logo on all materials showing sponsorship of event.
MLGW does not provide support for the following activities:
- Programs or projects outside of the MLGW service area
- Endowment campaigns
- Religious, political, veteran or fraternal organizations serving only their members
- Capital projects
- Individuals
- Travel-related expenses
- Organizations that discriminate by race, creed, gender, age or national origin
MLGW reserves the right to deny any sponsorship request or withdraw its commitment at any time.
