The Louisiana King Cake Festival is held by, and for the benefit of Lafourche Education Foundation (LEF) and governed by its Board of Directors that have complete and final authority over this event. LEF may immediately, or at any time, remove, reject, or disqualify any vendor for any reason which violates the best interest of the festival, including but not limited to failure to comply with product regulations.
Booth: $50 for a 10'x10' space through 1/3/25. Booth fee increases to $75 for a 10’x10’ space on 1/3/25. You must provide your own tent that is required to be either staked or weighted along with your own tables, chairs, supplies and anything else you may need. You must confine yourself and all equipment in your assigned spot. You may purchase an additional space if desired. You are also to provide your own source of power if needed.
Date & Time: Louisiana King Cake Festival will be held on February 15th, in Downtown Thibodaux. Gates will open to the public at 11:00 am.
Setup: Set-up time begins at 7:00 am. We ask that you are completely set-up by 9:00 am.
Supplies: $250 of product will be provided to each vendor from S&W Foods at no cost.
Tastings: Festival guests will each be given 5 tickets for king cake tastings and will be able to purchase more tastings for $1 each. We ask that you prepare 500-750 bite sized tastings for the event. Tastings should fit in an 1 oz cup. Cups can be provided to you ahead of time if you request.
Tokens: With each tasting, guests will also receive a voting token. A vase will be provided for you to place on your table to collect votes.
Winners: Voting tokens will be tallied at 4:00 pm so we can announce the winner of the People's Choice Award.
Clean-Up: Disposable trash cans will be provided throughout the festival and we ask that Vendors leave their area clean upon departing at the end of the festival. Please do not pick up your booth before 4:00 pm.
Inclement Weather: In the event of inclement weather day of the event, LEF reserves the right to decide whether or not to cancel the festival, but our policy is to proceed in rain or sunshine.
Removal: All vendors must be completely removed by 5:30 pm. This includes tents and trash.
Tax & Sales Rules: If vendors elect to sell king cakes at the event, in addition to the tastings offered, vendors must collect sales tax of 9.40% (Louisiana State 4.45%, City of Thibodaux 4.95%) and remit payment to the state and parish tax offices. Forms will be in the registration package at check-in for your convenience. Otherwise, if they choose, vendors are welcome to keep an order list from guests interested in ordering their products.
Vendor agrees and covenants to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Louisiana King Cake Festival, Lafourche Education Foundation and its officers, directors, volunteers, officials, employees, and agents from and against any and all liabilities, claims, suits, and causes of action of whatever nature or type (including but not limited to causes of action based upon tort, strict liability or otherwise), and all attorney fees, costs, and expenses incidental thereto, which may arise or in any way be connected, directly or indirectly, with the vendor’s participation in Acadia Music Fest Food Court. This indemnification is absolute, personal to the vendor, and is not limited by the insurance coverage which vendor may have in place.
