This scholarship is for students going on a study abroad course offered by the History Department. You must be a current Millsaps undergraduate student and you must have attended Millsaps for 1 full semester before applying.

The deadline for applying is 17 February 2026.

NOTE: It is not appropriate to ask the professor leading the study abroad program for which you are applying to write your recommendation letter. If at all possible, find another professor to do this. Your application CANNOT be considered until the Office of International Education receives this form and the faculty reference letter.

Students going on a study abroad course must pay a $1000 non-refundable deposit to secure their participation in the course. Deposits, either online or in the form of a check payable to Millsaps College, must be handed to the Business Office by March 1 for summer courses. If a class is cancelled, the deposit will be returned to the student. If a student no longer wishes to participate in the course and the deadline for submitting the deposit has passed, the deposit will not be reimbursed to the student.*
