Goodwill Scholarship Application
The Goodwill Scholarship is designed to bridge the gap often presented between a student’s financial aid package and other educational expenses.
Due Date: Friday – October 18th, 2024
Eligibility
The Goodwill Scholarship is available to students enrolled in an accredited educational institution that offers postsecondary-level programs (e.g., community/ technical college or university). This Goodwill Scholarship will focus on the enrollment period for the Spring 2025 semester. Scholarship candidates must reside or attend school in the GoodwillSR 50 county territory within west Georgia and east Alabama.
Application Tips
Before proceeding to the online application segment, please have readily available to upload the following requirements:
Essay
An original personal essay explaining why you are a viable candidate for the Goodwill Scholarship. The essay must be in a Microsoft Word document containing 300 – 500 words, 12pt in either Arial or Times New Roman font, and double-spaced.
Since this is your opportunity to tell us your story, please incorporate the following in your personal essay:
- Any personal and/or financial obstacles you have overcome to acquire an education.
- Your purpose of pursuing a higher education.
- What is the degree or certificate program you are pursuing and why?
- Your career goals.
- Please explain how this scholarship will assist you in achieving your personal, academic, and professional goals.
Proof of Enrollment (POE)
Proof of enrollment MUST be in the form of a class schedule/itinerary or a certified letter from the Registrar’s Office showing applicant is registered for the Spring 2025 semester.
No Third-Party POE, i.e., the National Student Clearinghouse!
Automatic Disqualifications:
- A.I. Generated, Previously Submitted, or Plagiarized Essay
- Illegible Attachments
- Incomplete/ Incorrect Completed Applications
- Third-Party POE
- Anyone who has received a Goodwill Round-Up Scholarship within one full year
