  • Special Needs Divisions for Sparring and/or Grappling:  At EMA, we are committed to provide an inclusive experience for all students.  Sparring and grappling competitions involve close physical contact and can be intense. Competitors who have sensitivities to touch or a low pain tolerance may find these events challenging and potentially overwhelming. We encourage participants and their guardians to consider these factors carefully when registering for these types of events.  If you have a concern regarding your child's participation in sparring and/or grappling, please discuss their eligibility for Special Needs Sparring and/or Grappling with your Head Instructor.  Participants in Special Needs Sparring and Grappling will be paired with a high belt or Instructor.  We will discuss the child's needs before the match and make sure that the partner is aware.  Our priority is the safety and well-being of all our competitors.
