  • UJIA Israel Experience Training Seminars

The assessment and training provided for you on a UJIA Israel Experience supported programme is an essential requirement for being a Tour Leader for the programme. This assessment and training is compulsory to attend in its entirety and being unable to do so may mean that you are not eligible to lead.

This year the dates are as follows:

    Hadracha Days:

You are required to attend a Hadracha Day on one of the following days: 15th December 2024 or 12th January 2025. If you are applying after these days have passed, we will reach out to you directly.

    Spring Training:

Online training modules will need to be completed from February-April. On April 22nd 2025 you will be required to attend a full day, in-person event. This will be based in London.

    Summer Seminar:

The June Seminar will be on Monday 16th to Friday 20th June (in-person & residential) and will take place in Israel.

  • If you have extenuating circumstances that will prevent you from attending any of the above, please be in email contact with Adam Waters (adam.waters@israelexperience.org.uk) and your Youth Movement/Organisation as soon as possible. This will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis.

Failure to communicate this may mean that you will not be eligible to lead on a UJIA Israel Experience-supported programme.

  • A vital aim of the leader assessment and screening process is to support leaders to be the best versions of themselves during the summer Israel Experiences. In order to do this we plan a course of training that we hope is responsive to your needs.

Please take some time and think about what further training and development you would find helpful at this point in your leadership journey.

  • Health and Welfare

Your physical and emotional well-being is of the utmost importance to us. We want to do everything we reasonably can to support you on Israel Tour so that you and your participants can have an incredible experience. We are committed to inclusion and experienced in providing support where possible for Israel Tour Leaders with a range of medical, physical, emotional, psychological and mental health conditions.

To help us do this effectively, please answer the following question as openly and honestly as possible. Following on from your application, it is common practice to have a follow-up conversation to assess the support you might need and its feasibility. Please note that if you are offered a role as an Israel Tour leader this will be conditional on completing a full medical form.

We endeavour to provide support to enable Israel Tour Leaders to successfully lead Israel Tour, creating an inclusive learning space. We appreciate your honesty in answering these sensitive questions. All your responses will be treated confidentially. Please note that failure to disclose any relevant information may mean we are unable to support you and may result in your being unable to lead on Israel Tour. If you are not comfortable sharing any information or details at this stage of your application and would like to wait until after you’ve been offered a role as a Tour Leader, please indicate so below.

If you would like to speak to someone about this or have any questions, please contact your Youth Movement/Organisation office directly.

I declare that all the information I have provided in this application form is correct and that I have not withheld any relevant information. I understand that any information I disclose will only be shared on a need-to-know basis.

I declare that I have no criminal convictions, police record or legal proceedings against me that disqualify me from working with young people.

As an Israel Tour Leader I agree to enforce all the rules as listed in the Participants' Code of Conduct and adhere to the Tour Leader's Code of Conduct as well as all rules and regulations laid out by the organisations responsible for Israel Tour. I understand that if I am successful in my application and am accepted to lead a group, I will immediately be responsible to UJIA Israel Experience on behalf of JAFI, the Tour Provider in Israel and my Youth Movement/Organisation, who have the authority to terminate my position at any time before or during Israel Tour, should my actions breach the values of these Organisations or any of the regulations stated above.
