Types of Presentations or Appearances you can request:
1. School Fire Safety Presentation - Discussing smoke detectors, how to call 911, home escape plans, common dangers and how to avoid them, etc.
2. Senior Citizen Fire Safety Presentation - Discussing common risks and hazards for seniors such as kitchen safety, options for Fire Alarm systems for the hard of hearing, and home fire safety tips for the aging adult.
3. Career Fair or Recruitment Event - An AFD firefighter will be present to give an overview of job responsibilities, requirements, and the overall process to become an Albany Firefighter.
4. Firehouse Tour - Guests will receive a guided tour of a firehouse and apparatus vehicle accompanied by a basic fire safety discussion. The firehouse selected will be based on the location of your organization.
5. Post-Fire Drill Safety Presentation - Following a fire drill that your organization carries out, a representative from the Albany Fire Department will address your members and deliver a basic review of the fire drill.
6. General Event Tabling - A member of the Albany Fire Department will appear at your event, set up a table and speak with your attendees. The purpose is to provide basic fire safety education through answering questions and handing out materials.
7. Fire Apparatus (Truck/Engine) Request - Appearance of a Albany Fire Department apparatus to your organizations function. The presenting firefighters will give a tour of the apparatus, it's equipment, and answer any fire service related questions. A parking space of 50ft by 15ft is required to park the vehicle safely.
