    • You must maintain a home in Australia that is readily available while living away from home for work.
    • You can only claim expenses for up to 12 months at a particular work location, after which the benefit may no longer apply, unless the location changes or exceptional circumstances exist.
    • The reimbursement covers reasonable accommodation and food expenses.
    • Unless approved, the food component must not exceed the ATO’s specified reasonable limits, as excess amounts may attract Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT).
    • Please provide documentation supporting your claims, including proof of usual residence, temporary accommodation costs, and food and other incidentals receipts.

    2. Proof of Temporary Accommodation:

    Lease agreement, rental receipts, or hotel invoice for the period you are living away from home.

    3. Declaration of Living Away from Home:

    A statement confirming that your home in Australia is being maintained during your absence for work purposes.

    4. Receipts/Invoices for Food and Incidental Expenses:

    If applicable, attach any receipts or invoices for meals and incidental expenses incurred while living away from home.

    5. Employment Contract or Letter from Employer:

    A document confirming that you are required to live away from your usual residence for work purposes, including details of the work location and duration.

    1. No Double Claiming
    I declare that neither I nor any associate is claiming the amounts on this form through any other salary packaging facility, nor are the amounts being paid or reimbursed by my employer (or my associate’s employer). Additionally, these amounts are not being, nor will they be, used for any other tax-deductible purpose.
    2. Claiming of Unclaimed Purchases Only
    I declare that the total amount being claimed on this form is for previously unclaimed purchases only and does not include cash advances, purchases where funds have been refunded, or outstanding balances of previously claimed transactions. I acknowledge that I will be responsible for any Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) liability resulting from the submission of a duplicate claim.
    3. Australian Taxation Office (ATO) Audit
    I understand that I may be subject to an Australian Taxation Office (ATO) audit at any time and that I may incur a tax liability on any funds received without legitimate documentation or proof of the claimed expenses.
    4. NSP Terms & Conditions
    I confirm that I have read and understood the current NSP Terms & Conditions available at nationalsalarypackaging.com.au/termsandconditions, and I agree to be bound by them with respect to my salary packaging activities.

    6. Retention of Original Documents
    I declare and warrant that I hold, and will continue to hold, the original documentation substantiating all expenses included in my salary package. I will retain these records for seven years in accordance with ATO requirements.
    7. Indemnification of Employer
    I agree to indemnify my employer against any Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) liability that may arise due to this salary packaging arrangement, including but not limited to cases where I am unable to produce original documentation when requested by my employer or an authorised representative.
