First Response Learning is designed to provide you with the essential knowledge, skills and confidence needed to respond effectively in the event of an emergency. While we hope these situations are rare, being prepared is an important part of creating safe and enjoyable experiences for everyone involved in Scouting.
This learning will introduce you to the principles of first aid, help you recognise and respond to common incidents, and equip you with practical skills that could make a significant difference when someone needs assistance. The training focuses on developing confidence, understanding your responsibilities, and knowing how to take appropriate action while seeking further support when required.
By completing this learning, you will not only meet the requirements expected of Scout volunteers but also gain valuable life skills that can be applied in your everyday life, workplace, and wider community.
We encourage you to actively participate, ask questions, and make the most of the opportunity to learn from experienced trainers and fellow volunteers. Your commitment to developing these skills helps ensure that Scouting remains a safe, supportive and rewarding environment for all.
