PSI/PCI & CFD Oxygen Cleaning Procedures

Ensure workspace is clean of potential contaminants.
Assemble cleaning supplies and equipment.
Conduct Steps 1-13 of PSI/PCI Cylinder Inspection Protocol.
Visually inspect cylinder with bright white & ultraviolet light. If clean of all visible hydrocarbons and other contaminants, skip Step 5 & 6.
Pre-clean with approved cleaning solution. Identify solution:
Rinse with clean hot water.
Final clean with approved solution. Identify solution:
Take sample of cleaning solution for testing if applicable.
Rinse with hot water.
Dry with Nitrogen or Oxygen Compatible Air.
Visually inspect cylinder with bright white & ultraviolet light. If hydrocarbons and/or contaminants are present, repeat step 7.
Disassemble, o2 clean and reassemble valve with oxygen compatible parts.
Complete Steps 14-18 of PSI/PCI Cylinder Inspection Protocol.
Complete this form and append to the PSI/PCI Visual Cylinder Inspection Form.
