  • KY UPCI Global Missions 2025 Schedule

  • Thank you for your incredible support of our Global Missionaries. The United Pentecostal Church exists to spread the whole Gospel, to the whole World, by the Whole Church. This means every church in our district can help spread the Gospel by supporting our missionaries as they travel through Kentucky.

We plan to have the 2025 deputation schedule for our 25+ missionaries coming to Kentucky completed by January 1, 2025. You can schedule missionaries for a full service or just give them 10-15 minutes in service. If you can’t afford to have them for a service - consider hosting a missionary or at least giving them an offering only.

A "hosting" would involve ONE or a combination of any of these three things: (1) Take the missionaries out to eat on a night you don’t have service, (2) Place them in a hotel at your expense, or (3) Give the missionaries an offering of at least $100. We are asking every church in the district to have two missionary engagements (services or hostings) in 2025 whatever is most convenient for you.

The Kentucky District is centrally located in the United States and we do an outstanding job of hosting missionaries. In Kentucky, there are untapped resources of blessings for both our churches and missionaries. I believe God is going to bless our churches and missionaries with great revival this year!

    For His Glory,
    Pastor A.J. Dummitt
    Kentucky Global Missions Director

Please complete the following form to schedule the dates that you would like to have this year. (Because of I Am Global, some of these missionaries will be sent back to the field early, so we will be replacing them with other missionaries as needed. We do not know ahead of time when or to whom this will be happening. Thank you for understanding.)

If you aren't sure what to do for next year's planning, please consider sending an offering to KY Global Missions at your earliest convenience, which could be used to cover an offering only for any missionary as needed.

I would also like to encourage every church/pastor in Kentucky to try to send a $1,200 offering to I AM GLOBAL by September 2024 to help send our traveling missionaries back to their fields sooner. (If every UPCI church would do this - we could send all of them back each year with no more than six months of deputation travel.) Here is the link to do that: https://www.globalmissions.com/giving/i-am-global-online-giving.aspx

    Matthew and Onnalisa Nash

    Missionaries to French Polynesia

     Nash Picture

Matthew and Onnalisa Nash were married in 2006, and have three children.
Before missions, they served in many different capacities in their church, including being the leaders over Guest Services which oversaw ushers, greeters, and welcome center attendants, organizing monthly guest receptions, teaching Sunday school in nursery, school-age, youth, and Hyphen, serving on the youth staff, leading the young married’s group, singing in the choir and on the praise team, and being on the Multicultural Ministry team. Onnalisa also helped with ESL classes and is a certified TEFL/TESOL teacher.

In 2020, they went on their first AIM trip to Botswana and Zimbabwe for three
months. They taught and preached at different churches and taught classes at the Bible school in Zimbabwe. In November 2021, they went on their next AIM trip to Fiji for nine months, then back again in January 2023 for fifteen months. Throughout both terms in Fiji, they preached at churches, taught classes at the Bible school, started a Bible Quizzing program, and helped as furlough replacements for the missionaries for nine months. Matt completed many maintenance projects at both the Fiji UPCI Headquarters and the Bible school and helped to build two new churches. In addition to teaching Sunday school and speaking at ladies' ministry seminars, Onnalisa helped with administrative duties at the Bible school, which included transitioning the online program to a new platform. In May 2024, they were appointed Intermediate Missionaries to the unreached nation of French Polynesia, where they will be pioneering a new work to establish the first UPCI church there. They look forward to embracing the culture and making as many connections as possible to see this new work thrive and grow.

    Dale Pic

Dale and Brenda Austin have always had a heart for missions. Both grew up in households of pastors who greatly admired the work of missionaries. As a child, Brenda, spent much time around her pioneer missionary grandparents, E.L. and Nona Freeman and was greatly influenced by their passion for souls in Africa. Dale graduated from Christian Life College in Stockton, California, with a major in missions. Prior to becoming a part of Global Missions, they served for nine years as associate pastor and Director of International Ministries in Salt Lake City. During that time, Dale did some short-term Bible school teaching in Germany. In 2019, they went to the country of Namibia in the Associates In Missions program to work with the Ikerds. They served in various capacities that included preaching, as well as teaching the GATS curriculum in several locations around the country. While there, they were asked if they would consider going to South Africa. After much prayer and counsel, and a request from the General Board of the UPCSA, they went to South Africa in December 2019. Since their arrival there, they have been involved in pastoring a church in Vanderbijlpark, a city in the industrial hub of the Gauteng province. From there they would launch out to minister in various capacities and events throughout the country. In 2021, they were promoted to Associate Missionary status, and in May 2023 they were appointed as Intermediate Missionaries to South Africa. They continue to preach and teach around the nation and work with the GATS program, while also assisting in the administration of the UPCSA.

  • Jonathan and Maria Strickland

    Missionary, Europe, Ireland

    StricklandJ Pic

Jonathan and Maria were appointed to Greece in 1999 as intermediate missionaries. They served in Greece until 2012. They were privileged to pastor the incredible people of the Crossroads Church in Athens for the duration of their time in Greece. They also administrated the Crossroads Bible School, which not only prepared many incredible lay ministers within the Crossroads Church, but also developed evangelistic and pastoral gifts within others that propelled them into church plants within Greece, across Europe, and around the world. At their departure from Greece, there were twenty church plants that were direct results of Crossroads leadership and Crossroads Bible School graduates. They also were honored during their time in Greece to pioneer the national youth ministry. They were able to sponsor some incredible youth conferences where for the first five years, everyone who came without the Holy Spirit received it. From those first youth conferences were born ministries that are today vital to the churches of Greece. During these years, they were asked to serve as secretary of the initial Europe/Middle East regional youth commission, where they participated in the foundational processes that are today reaping such bountiful harvest within the EME youth.

In 2012 God asked the Strickland family to accept a new challenge in Ireland. They arrived in Ireland in December 2014. It was initially their distinct privilege to replace missionaries Terry & Cindy McFarland until their return in August 2015. They truly enjoyed their time pastoring the Pentecostals of Dublin and will always have a fondness in their hearts for the great people which make the POD a special place. Since the McFarland’s return, they felt the call to plant two churches, simultaneously! They have seen in two years over fifty baptized with the Holy Spirit. They also have been able, through the North Dublin and West Dublin campuses, to start two other preaching points in Mullingar and Cork.

They are honored to serve the pastors of Ireland as their presbyter to the UPCGB&I Northern District Board. The work in Ireland, though in its infancy, is full of promise. Their cry is, “Lord bless us with the ‘Unity of the Spirit,’ that we may accomplish what God has sent us all to this great land for.”
