Kick off the Hollow’s Second Annual Halloween in the Hollow Monster Dash, hosted by the Sleepy Hollow Service Club. Children and adults can experience this thrilling and bone shaking event that is sure to leave a smile on your face. The $20 race fee is per racer. All proceeds go towards supporting the Sleepy Hollow Fireworks. 

Rules and regulations: get your soap box style (4 wheels) or big wheel style (3 wheels) ride. Next, get creative and decorate for the class that suits you best! There are no motors, engines or people pushers allowed. All riders must be self-powered and only up to the 30 ft mark. After that, gravity takes over! Rides and riders will be judged in each age group and the fastest earns bragging rights! Races are staged in age-appropriate brackets starting with 8-year-olds and speeding things up with the 55 and up class! Helmets are required and protective gear is highly recommended. All racers are required to wear closed toe shoes. All rides must have steering and a way to stop. Please be sure to secure all decorations for the safety of other racers. Just remember to have fun and smile!!!

Race day registration will be in the old Sleepy Hollow Pool parking lot. Rain date will be decided the day of the race in the event of inclement weather.

Stick around after the event and enjoy the Halloween festivities at Sabatino Park with a costume contest, hayrides, pumpkin decorating, chili cook-off, food and drinks, topped off with a live DJ. If you stick around long enough you will be able to check out Sleepy Hollow’s famous bonfire with a visit from the Headless Horseman!
