G.O.A.'L. is proud to offer an interpretation service designed specifically for adoptees seeking to connect with their birth family or foster family. We understand how meaningful these reunions can be, and our aim is to provide language support to facilitate these emotional and personal meetings.
The interpreter will either be a G.O.A.'L. staff member or a dedicated volunteer. Please note that our interpreters are not certified professionals, but they are passionate about assisting adoptees during these significant encounters. Each request for an interpreter is limited to a maximum of two times per visit, with each session lasting up to 4 hours.
While using the service, the adoptee will be responsible for covering any expenses incurred by the interpreter during the meeting, including travel costs, meals, coffee, and other related expenses. We kindly request that meetings include no more than 3 members at a time, to ensure that the interpreter can handle the conversation with respect and care.
This service is available exclusively to G.O.A.'L. members. If you are not yet a member and an interpreter is available to assist, you will be asked to become a member before proceeding.
To ensure we can provide you with the best possible service, we kindly ask that you sign the consent form below, which allows us to collect and process the necessary information about you and your birth family.
