5 tips for making a great video
1. Find a quiet location, away from roads. Outdoors is fine provided your surroundings are quiet. If utilising an indoor space, find a room that has soft furnishings so that audio can be absorbed, rather than bounce around the place creating reverb. Some typical examples of soft furnishings: furniture, carpeted floors, rugs, curtains.
2. Position yourself so that light falls on your front, avoiding light sources that are positioned behind you, e.g. sit/stand facing a window.
3. Orientate your phone so that you’re filming in landscape and not portrait mode.
4. If you have access to a lapel mic, use it!
5. Avoid wearing any heavily branded clothing.
