Emergency Psychiatry
One BE/BC psychiatrist with emergency psychiatry experience or training in ED/Psychiatry.
The Emergency Department includes a dedicated 9-bed Psychiatric Unit for patients in crisis, supported by a specialty-trained behavioral health team.
Schedule: 13-hour shifts, approximately 12 shifts per month.
Consult Liaison Psychiatry
One BE/BC psychiatrist with experience in consult liaison services or formal CL Psychiatry training.
Provides psychiatric consults across our 600-bed main hospital, assisting attending providers with behavioral health assessments and disposition planning.
ECT training and experience is highly desirable.

Child & Adolescent Outpatient Psychiatry
Two BE/BC Child & Adolescent Psychiatrists with experience in diagnosing and treating a variety of psychiatric disorders.
Primarily outpatient roles with an option to provide coverage for our new Adolescent Inpatient Unit.
Preferred experience includes treating ADHD, PTSD, ODD, Anxiety, Depression, Autism Spectrum Disorders, and other child/adolescent mental health conditions.
Opportunity to work with residents and medical students.
Adult Outpatient Psychiatry
Two BE/BC Adult Psychiatrists with experience in a variety of mental health conditions, including Chemical Dependency and Substance Use Disorders.
Preferred experience in treating Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, PTSD, and Mood Disorders.
ECT training and experience is highly desirable.
Flexible structure to provide either or both inpatient and outpatient care.
Clinic hours: Monday – Friday.

Pediatric Intensivist

Cape Fear Valley Medical Center seeks to add a full-time Pediatric Critical Care Specialist. Must be BC in Pediatrics or BE/BC in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine with formal fellowship training in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine. The pediatric intensive care unit is a 7-bed unit that serves the critical needs of medical, surgical, and trauma patients in the pediatric department. The pediatric floor is an 18-bed mixed medical and surgical unit. The service covers both the PICU and the pediatric floor with assistance from physician assistants, residents, and students. Coverage is in-house during the day and on-call overnight. Full-time coverage is 10 24-hour shifts per month.

Cape Fear Valley is a 1,000+ bed, 8-hospital regional health system, with more than 1 million inpatient and outpatient visits annually, including a 44-bed level III NICU—a private not-for-profit organization with 8,000 employees and more than 1,000 providers on our medical staff. The family birth center delivers 5,000 infants annually. The Pediatric Emergency Department has 17 beds and is staffed by full-time pediatric emergency medicine specialist.

Hematology/Oncology Physician

Cape Fear Valley Cancer Center is seeking to add additional BE/BC providers to well established, highly successful group with multiple locations in Cumberland County. We are expanding to meet the tremendous growth of our Cancer Program in our community. System has dedicated resources, to include Oncology Social Workers, Oncology Dietitians, Clinical Trials, and a robust Complementary Medicine Program. Navigated Lung Nodule Clinic and Breast Center provide additional support for program.

This is a comprehensive cancer program that includes radiation oncology including Cyberknife, medical oncology, and full support services in two locations. Cancer Program holds accreditation from the Commission on Cancer and NAPBC and is also QOPI Certified. Clinic hours are Monday – Friday from 8-5 with weekday and weekend call. Call rotates within the provider group.

Emergency Department Physician

The busiest ED in North Carolina, and one of the top 10 busiest in the nation, treats 140k adult and 40k pediatric cases annually. We are currently seeking residency trained BC/BE emergency physicians to work in the 96 bed adult ED. This ED serves a high acuity patient population with 28% annual admission rate. There are over 90 hours of adult physician coverage daily and over 110 hours mid-level coverage daily. It is a Level III Trauma Center with robust hospitalist service, interventional cardiology 24/7, cardiac surgery, neurosurgery, etc. The facility is Chest Pain and Stroke accredited. The EMS system is hospital owned and managed with an award winning paramedic program. Of note, the Pediatric ED is separate and has 17 dedicated beds with an additional 24 hours of physician coverage and 20 hours of mid-level coverage. Opportunities exist for both clinical and academic emergency physicians.

Affiliated with Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine, the candidate will enjoy a Core Faculty appointment commensurate with experience, in our Emergency Residency Program with associated dedicated protected time.
