What is Lambda Dreamer Student Essay? Lambda D-R-E-A-M sponsored youth essay competition allows students to write essays expressing their views on an annual patriotic theme. We invite you to join the hundreds of students who are also participating in this competition this year. The chapter winners will receive at least $1500.
How to enter?
Lambda dreamers essay competition is open to 12th-grade male students enrolled by the August 2, 2024 deadline in public, private, or parochial schools in the United States or abroad., its territories, or its possessions. The student must also meet the national academic minimum standards to attend college. The student must provide proof of college enrollment no later than June 2025 to receive scholarship money. Winners will be announced by December 2024 NLT January 2025.
Although United States citizenship is not required, students must be lawful United States Permanent residents or have applied for permanent residence (with an application that has not been denied) and intends to become a United States citizen at the earliest opportunity allowed by law. Dependents of United States Military or Department of Defense (DOD) personnel in overseas schools are eligible can participate too.
What are the rules?
Essay length: 1000 - 1200 typewritten words. You must write your (own) essay (essays under 1000 words or over 1200 words will be rejected). Every word is counted regardless of length. The essay title (theme) cover page, references, and footnotes do not contribute to the word count. All essays should be typed in English with no color or graphics.

Postal applications by mail are no longer accepted for submission; if necessary, for further clarity, contact your sponsor for additional guidance.
Each applicant must submit a personal photo in a collared shirt with a tie or bowtie. Submit your photo above in place of last year's winner. Applications will not be processed without a photo of the applicant.
