The Rev. John Dukes, an Episcopal priest, psychotherapist, and a consulant to churches in transition, will explore how a common thread that he has discovered in various dimenions of his ministry has shaped his spirituality.
His latest passion has to do with Creation as Sacrament, an effort at integrating ecology and theology. He invites you to come explore your spirituality and hear stories illustrating spiritual growth and tranformation. There will be time for conversation, reflection, and meditation.
Bring a chair, your own water bottle, journal, pencil or pen, hat, sunglasses, jacket, bug spray, and sunscreen. Wear appropriate clothing and shoes.
Directions: From Interstate 10: Take Exit 12 onto I-110 exit 1B Gregory Street East, merge onto 30 E Chase Street, turn left onto Bayfront Parkway /Hwy 98 East.
Stay on U.S. 98 for 4.1 miles. The Bayside pavilion where we will be meeting is located on the left/north side of Hwy. 98. Free parking near the pavilion is available inside the gated area. We will have signs at the entrance to the park and at the site where we will be gathering.
