When you are baptized, the Holy Spirit gives you spiritual gifts that are to be used for helping others and building up Christ's body, the Church.1
As you use your spiritual gifts, you will feel a greater sense of purpose and awe as the Holy Spirit works through you to bless others in incredible ways. In the Parable of the Talents,2 Jesus promises that those who bury their gifts will loose them, but those who use their gifts will be given even more gifts!
However, the goal is not simply to do more. You must take time to abide in Christ,3 including honoring the Sabbath.4 In John 15:5, Jesus says, "If you remain in me, and I in you, you will bear much fruit. Apart from me, you can do nothing." If you do not take Sabbath and other times to rest with Jesus, you may stay really busy and look like you are accomplishing a lot. But ultimately, you will burnout and what you accomplish will crumble. Instead, take time to rest and be with Jesus. Then your soul will stay renewed and what you build will last, like the house the wise man built on the rock.5
