• SAW Competitions 2027

  • You must be a member of the Scottish Association of Writers to be eligible to enter any of these competitions. To be a member of the Scottish Association of Writers, you must either be a member of one of our affiliated clubs or else be subscribed as an individual member. (For the avoidance of doubt, joining the Scottish Association of Writers Facebook page does NOT, on its own, qualify you as a member.)

Members who are attending SAW Conference in March 2027 can enter all/any of the competitions but members who are not attending may only enter open competitions.

Members who are unable to attend because of long-term health issues may apply to enter all the competitions.

  • Enter Competition

  • Guided notes:

This year we have updated the entry process. We hope you find submitting competitions far easier than previous years. You can now submit multiple entries in the one submission. Before you start, please prepare your entries for upload.

Important Note re Word/PDF Submissions - Each entry you submit must have the correct filename for your Word or PDF doc. e.g. If you submit a Poetry entry and the poem is called Windmills then the filename for your Word Doc should be Windmills. Do not submit a Word or PDF document with multiple entries on it or with the wrong file name. Each entry must be an individual Word or PDF Document.
