You are invited to contribute to the upcoming Housing Justice Convergence, a unique three-day conference addressing the housing crisis from March 7th-9th, 2025 in Montreal.
In response to the growing demand for action, the Housing Justice Convergence will serve as a key platform to advance housing justice by fostering collaboration and amplifying the voices of those directly affected by the crisis. This event will bring together tenant unions, cooperative members, non-profit developers, policy advocates, funders, and people experiencing housing precarity to build alliances, identify shared priorities, and develop strategic solutions. It will also offer a critical space to assess the potential impact of a conservative government and prepare for potential privatization efforts.
Through a combination of panels and participatory sessions, the convergence will provide an opportunity to accelerate collaboration, sharpen the focus of housing advocates, and offer clear direction for policymakers. By building popular power, we aim to channel resources and support toward solutions that address the root causes of the housing crisis.
You can see the draft schedule for the Housing Justice Convergence here!
In alignment with our theory of change coming from the bottom-up, we will be keeping one room of the conference center available for allied groups to offer presentations and workshops to the wider housing justice movement. We're calling this the third space of the Housing Movement Convergence and we invite you submit an proposal for activties to include in this space!
