  • We may be taking photographs/recording video at this event, which could include your image. The resulting images and footage may be used by Lee Abbey Youth Camp for promotional purposes across a range of online and offline channels (including, but not limited to, web/social media/email/print). The photos will only be used for Lee Abbey Youth Camp purposes and never sold or transferred to third parties. The photographs may be used and stored for a period of up to 5 years. In order to use this media in the ways described, we need your consent.

  • Terms and Conditions

    • Fees 
    • The quoted prices are per person and full board for the duration of the stay. All fees are subject to change. Prices include VAT where applicable. If the VAT rate changes, we reserve the right to alter our prices to reflect that change. Bursaries are available for both the cost of camp and towards equipment such as sleeping bags, please contact laycteam@gmail.com for more information.

    • Arrivals and Departures 
    • Campers are asked to arrive between 4:00 and 6:00 pm on the first day of camp, and to leave after breakfast at the end of camp between 9:30 and 10:30 am.

      If you know you are going to be delayed and unable to reach the camp before 10.00 pm on the day of arrival, please telephone Lee Abbey on 01598 752621 to let us know. There is no direct telephone link with the camp, but a message will be passed on to the camp leaders when received.

    • Coach Travel 
    • If you would like to take advantage of the coach service we offer to/from Taunton (details as above), you must ensure that you book and pay for your seat in advance. 

      The coach will depart Taunton Railway Station at 3:30pm on the day of arrival and will drop campers back in time for a 12:30pm train on the day of departure.

      The coach will be supervised and will not leave campers behind if the trains are slightly delayed. In case of delay please inform Lee Abbey ASAP and we will do our best to accommodate this.

    • ACCOMMODATION 
    • We will provide tents and groundsheets only. Each tent will accommodate between 6 - 8 campers. You will need to bring all your own equipment as detailed in the Kit List.

      • Bible (Available to buy or borrow on site)
      • Notebook
      • Cutlery and Mug – we don’t have many so please bring your own with your name on
      • Spending Money (cash) – there is a tuck shop/ camp t-shirts and hoodies to buy on the Camp field, and we have a trip off-site midweek
      • Towels
      • Wash stuff – toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, deodorant, sanitaries etc
      • Sports clothes (if that’s your thing)
      • Walking gear and shoes
      • a white teeshirt or pillowcase for tie-dye

      😴 DURING THE NIGHT

      • Sleeping bag (and maybe an extra blanket)
      • Rollmat or airbed with pump
      • Pillow
      • Torch
      • Hot water bottle (optional)
    • POST 
    • Please ensure that any personal mail that might be sent to you whilst on camp is addressed with your full name, and noted as ‘LEE ABBEY YOUTH CAMP’ and the Lee Abbey address.

    • PAYMENT 
    • We require a non-refundable deposit of £25.00 per person at the time of booking (additional charges may apply for coach travel to site), or full fees if booking one month prior to arrival. You will be required to pay the outstanding balance a month before arrival. We accept most credit and debit cards, or you can pay by cheque or PayPal.

      If you wish to cancel your booking, we may refund a proportion of the fees payable by you. The amount we refund depends on how soon we receive your request to cancel prior to the date your booking was due to start. The amount we retain represents the reasonable cost to us of a cancelled booking.

      • Earlier than 1 month before your booking starts — loss of deposit
      • Between 1 month and two weeks before your booking starts - we will refund 50% of the fees paid to us
      • Between 2 weeks and 1 week before your booking starts — we will refund 25% of the fees paid to us
      • Cancellation later than 1 week before your booking starts — no refund.
    • Parental Consent 
    • 1. The information I have provided is to be best of my knowledge true and accurate

      2. I understand that, by their nature, adventurous activities involve an element of risk that cannot be totally eliminated. While every care is taken to ensure the safety of participants, adventurous activities involve the acceptance of risk and responsibility for the consequences of one's actions. 

      3. I/My child is in good health and physically able to take part in the selected activities. I have read and am signing the consent for my child to take part in adventurous activities.

      4. To receive medical care and to take part in the activities outline above.
