Utah FFA Media Ambassador Application

State Convention Media Ambassador 
The Utah FFA Association is seeking 2 talented and motivated individuals to assist our communications manager during the 2026 Utah FFA State Convention! This Ambassador program will run through both days of convention*, and provides a fantastic opportunity for students to contribute content to the Utah FFA’s social media platforms, and gain experience with media coverage at a large event!

*Those selected will be expected to be present for both full days of convention, as well as arriving prior to session 1 to meet with the communications manager. This is not a paid position, but rather an opportunity for students to gain experience.

Responsibilities: 

• Work with the Utah FFA communications manager to obtain timely media coverage of state convention including photos and video to be used for different online content. 
• Collaborate with the Utah FFA communications manager to develop engaging content such as short videos and b-roll for reels and other online content to be used throughout the year. 
• Assist with photo/video shoots to help create content.
• Possibly taking photos of state winners on stage.

Qualifications: 

• Must be a junior or senior who has attended state convention before. 
• Must have an active SAE project with an up-to-date record book (preference will be given to those students whose SAE is in communications). 
• Basic understanding of social media and how to create reels.
• Basic understanding of what b-roll is and what type of footage could be captured for it. 
• Up-to-date on social media trends.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with others.
• Experience with taking photos in dim lighting.  
• Experience with taking photos at events. 
• Must be comfortable with big groups and asking for permission to take photos/videos.
• Basic understanding of Canva and uploading/exporting videos + editing.
• Experience taking videos on DSLR cameras.

Other information: 

• Cameras will be supplied.
• Required use of your personal cell phone may be needed to capture certain video footage/photos.
