1. I, the CLIENT, understand, that I am enrolling/have enrolled myself as a member and my dog(s) in dog obedience, puppy class, rally, and other classes/workshops or other related activities which the Obedience Club of San Diego County, Inc. conducts for members and other participants.
2. I understand to attend in classes, or practices poses risks to myself, members of my family or guests who may attend, or my dog, because some of the dogs to which I will be exposed may be difficult to control and may be the cause of injury even when handled with the greatest amount of care. I agree to always keep my dog under control.
3. This agreement is intended to shift the risk of participating in dog training and socialization to CLIENT. Do not sign it or click the I AGREE box unless you, as CLIENT are willing to assume the risk to yourself, your dog, and others accompanying you in your participation in training, including the associated risks of bodily injury, death or property damage while on the property of the San Diego Zoo or any property the Obedience Club of San Diego County, Inc. holds events or functions.
4. As a CLIENT, I agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Obedience Club of San Diego County, Inc. or any assistant trainer/volunteer from any and all liability and damages for any claim, loss, or injury which my dog may cause or is alleged to have caused to any person, animals, or property damage arising from or relates to the training, consultation, or attendance at classes and related activities and events.
5. Client further agrees the Obedience Club of San Diego County, Inc or any assistant trainer/volunteer shall not be liable to me or my successors, for any injury, death or property damage occurring during or attendant to the training, counselling, classes, or property use, or advice supplied or provided to CLIENT. CLIENT releases the Obedience Club of San Diego County, Inc. or assistant trainers/volunteers and its/her agents/employees from all liability to the CLIENT, CLIENT’s representatives , guardians, successors, assignees, heirs, children, and next of kin for all liability, claims, damage, or demands for personal injury, death, or property damage, to the CLIENT or to the CLIENT”s dog or dogs, arising from or related to this Agreement or to participation in training or socialization, whether the injury, death, or property damage occurs on or off the Obedience Club of San Diego County, Inc. training site/s.
6. CLIENT acknowledges he/she/they have carefully read this Agreement, understands its contents, and has/have the option of consulting with independent legal counsel before signing this Agreement. The undersigned acknowledges the execution of this agreement is partial consideration for the Obedience Club of San Diego County, Inc. and its trainers/volunteers allowing the CLIENT to participate in the CLASSES, training, and related activities and advice provided.
7. CLIENT represents his/her/their dog has been fully vaccinated/immunized in accordance with the laws of San Diego County and he/she/they are over the age of eighteen years. Junior handlers, under the age of eighteen (18) years must have the legal parent or Guardian sign on their behalf.
8. CLIENT will not allow their dog/s to harass or injure any animals on properties used by the Obedience Club of San Diego County, Inc. If my dog causes harm or injury to any animal, accidentally or intentionally, CLIENT assumes all veterinary costs due to those injuries.
9. CLIENT understands the Obedience Club of San Diego County, Inc. or assistant trainers/volunteers will not be held responsible for any possible COVID-19 strain one may be exposed to at the Obedience Club of San Diego County, Inc. site/s.
