Description of Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteer and Buddy Check In: hand out name tags, direct to coat rooms, food, answer questions. Need to be able to arrive at 3:30pm February 7, 2025.
Guest Check In: Ensure everyone entering has a name tag and signed Liability Release. Ensure Guest is assinged a Buddy.
Buddy: Paired with 1 of our Night to Shine Guests to help aid in the best night possible. Must be 16 years old or older.
Nursery and Childcare: Assist in the care of the volunteer's children, ages 0-13.
Food Prep: Arrive at designated time to help caters unload and set up food. Assist preparing and set up of foods and beverages in main dining area and respite room. Set up and serve food to volunteers. Refill Food warmers and drinks and snacks as needed. Empty Garbage as needed. Need to be able to arrive at 3:30pm February 7, 2025.
Food Service Team: Assist Buddies, Guests and Respite guests by serving food. Assist by carrying plates for buddies to the tables. Clear plates from tables.
Parking Team/Security: Arrive early before volunteers arrive. Maintain a parking pattern and direct traffic at the beginning and end of the event. Maintain open area for Limos. Assist with Security during the event. Need to be able to arrive at 3:30pm February 7, 2025.
Transportation and Welcome Team: Assist guests as they exit the vehicles and enter the event. Assure they have met a buddy and help them find the registration area.
Coat Check Team and Lost & Found: Volunteers will greet guests, take their coats, label and hang them. Be available at end of the event to assist with coat retrieval, lost items and exiting.
Flowers (Corsages and Boutonnieres): Help guests pick out flower and pin on boutonnieres.
Red Carpet and Paparazzi Team: Paparazzi will treat guest like celebraties, snapping photos and cheering them on. Camera's are highly encouraged!
Hair and Make-up: Welcome guests to salon station for hair and makeup touchup. Pamper your guests, making them feel beautiful and loved!
Shoe Shine: Invite guests into your station for a shine. Make them feel hansome and loved.
Limo: Assist Guest and Buddies to and from the limos. Manage flow of guests waiting.
Karaoke: Manage the flow of guests. Lead applause of all guests.
Photo Booth: Manage the flow of guests.
Sensory Room Team: Spend time with guests who become overstimulated.
Respite Room: Volunteers will spend time with parents and caregivers, getting to know them and be available to pray with them if needed.
Bathroom Attendants: Help guest find the bathrooms and offer assistance entering and exiting the stall and hand washing. (If guests need more assistance contact a caregiver or parent)
Dance Floor Team: Spend time on the dance floor dancing and encouraging others to join in on the fun!
