Thank you for your application and for your desire to support horse rescue through adoption. Our application process requires all sections to be fully complete and meet specific standards for approval. Sometimes, an application does not provide a complete care picture, or highlights areas that need adjustment before we can place a horse in the home. Please note that this is not a denial. Instead, this checklist serves as a guide to help you address specific areas so you can successfully adopt in the future. Our goal is to help you succeed, and we welcome a new application from you in 12 months. Areas to focus on for improvement before you re-apply:

Establish a Long term pattern of professional recommended care to all equines owned
Horse applied for is not a fit / no horse in rescue that is quite the right fit at this time
Two horses on site is required for welfare standards
Improved attention to horse soundness while riding
Establish Emergency Fund for unexpected equine care
Increase attendance to Clinics, auditing training sessions, lessons
Expand use of professional trainers
Fencing improvements
Additional long term history of vet exams, dental work and/OR other medical care needs
Long term farrier care verified for 1 year that includes visits every 4-8 weeks
Shelter improvements or more shelter acccess

Consideration to moving to a Board ing situation
Shift with horsemanship approach
Continued horsemanship improvement
Castration of male horses on site
Consistency of dental floats yearly for all equines
