Costs you might want to consider include: materials, staffing costs, volunteer expenses, training costs, subcontractor services, utility costs relating to the project, display materials/signage, etc.

You can structure your answer with 'cost' and 'description' such as:

    - £2,000 - Materials - e.g. 3x raised beds, top soil/compost, plants/seeds

    - £3,000 - Staffing costs - staff time to cover project set-up, community engagement visits, event planning and delivery (1x launch event, 6x gardening workshops, 1 x celebration event)

    - £300 - Volunteer expenses - tea, coffee, and snacks across summer events in the garden

    - £400 - Training costs - Volunteer training sessions (2 x £200)

  • 7. At your Nature Hub project, what ideas do you have for connecting with your local Starbucks store and are you able to host volunteering sessions?

    • Please share any previous experience of hosting volunteering days, or ideas of what volunteering or visits at your Nature Hub could look like.
    • If your project would not be able to host volunteers, please let us know how Starbucks staff would be able to connect otherwise (e.g. donating coffee grounds for compost).
    • If your project works with vulnerable groups, please let us know how this might impact the connection - eg 'We work with vulnerable groups, so Starbucks volunteers could only come by the garden Fridays between 9-11am when we have open volunteering hours' or 'We work with vulnerable groups which could make volunteering challenging, but we'd be happy to collect spent coffee grounds from a local store for our compost.’
