Cobra/Barrett Solar UTV/Equipment Rules of the Road
Prior to operation, operator needs to be authorized to operate equipment.
Prior to operation, equipment operator shall document daily inspection.
Verify UTV/Equipment is clean and that operator and any passengers are wearing seatbelts.
UTV/Equipment must not be modified in any manner that affects the recommended mode of operation, speed, or safety of the vehicle.
Operators and passengers shall always wear safety glass while UTV/equipment is under
Bed compartments shall not be loaded over capacity or have excessive material hanging over the sides. Cargo that has the potential to shift shall be secured.
Use of cell phone by operator while vehicle is moving will result in immediate termination.
Maximum UTV speed has been reduced to 15mph for the Cobra-Barrett project, violations of this rule shall result in termination or loss of UTV privileges.
Operators must obey all traffic signs, signals and must look in all directions prior to entering intersections and crossing. Slower speeds (10 MPH) shall be required in areas with active panel installation, parking areas, heavy equipment/pedestrian traffic. Pay attention to signs.
Pedestrians will always be given the right of way; operators shall reduce speeds to 5mph when workers are present.
UTV/equipment shall be parked in a manner that allows them to directly pull-out to avoid backing up.
As an authorized operator on the Cobra-Barrett project, I understand and agree to follow the safety procedures reviewed with me regarding UTV safety. I also understand that violation of these procedures shall result in loss of UTV privileges and possible termination of employment.
