Town of Ticonderoga | PUBLIC ART FEEDBACK SURVEY
  • We would like to help bring more public art to Ticonderoga, NY, and we are asking for YOUR feedback!

In 2025 The Essex County Land Bank, in partnership with the North Country Rural Development Coalition (NRDC), worked with the community to install six mural projects in the Town of Ticonderoga. The Walls Between Waters iniative transformed spaces near blighted, vacant, and abandoned properties through public art installations, fostering community pride and economic revitalization. The project culminated with the celebration of six murals in the downtown corridor, accompanied by a community festival!

A new ‘Artscapes’ brand was developed to encompass cultural programs in Essex County. Through ARTSCAPES Essex County can continue to invest in public art and cultural initiatives— integrating public art, housing revitalization, and economic development into a cohesive, county-wide strategy.

Public art has strengthened our town! Public art enriches our lives, draws in tourists, fosters local creative talent, encourages economic growth, and beautifies our communities.

Some state-level funding is earmarked for revitalization, and this funding can be used for public art programming.  The Essex County Land Bank and the North Country Rural Development Coalition (NRDC), are evaluating the community's interest in public art, and we are asking Ticonderoga residents to participate in this short anonymous survey. Thank you!
