  • ENTRY STATEMENT – Who are you nominating and why?

This is where you explain why you put your nominee forward for a ‘Rising Star’ award. Remember to give examples to back up what you’re saying.
  • For example: "Christina's friendly and approachable attitude sets the tone for a positive experience, she does this by taking the time to listen to customers concerns and explain technical issues in simple, easy-to-understand terms. Whether it’s a routine service or an unexpected repair".

    • Has the nominee overcome any challenges? shy and nervous to confident and happy to speak to customers.
    • Takes initiative? By cleaning the workshop while colleagues work on cars or are with customers.

The more examples you can provide of award-winning behaviour, their chances of success are better.

    • Please check the award entry criteria and ensure you satisfy them with your statement. Guide - Divisional Quarterly Awards
    • 500 words max.
  • ENTRY STATEMENT – Why they should win, in their own words.

To complete this section, you need to obtain a written response from your nominee. They must include examples of why they deserve an award.
  • For example: "I take a lot of pride in the relationships I’ve built with our regular customers. I’ve had many come back to the garage specifically because of the trust we’ve developed over time. They know that I’ll always be honest with them, that I’ll explain things in a way they can understand, and that I’m looking out for their best interests. It’s not just about fixing cars for me—it’s about building a relationship based on trust and care".

Do you take initiative?: "I don't just wait for tasks to come my way; I actively seek out ways to contribute, making sure no opportunity to help goes unnoticed. Whether it's lending a hand in the workshop or assisting a customer with a smile, I'm always ready to step up."

Have you been a part of a charity event or helped a vulnerable customer?

The more examples you can provide of award-winning behaviour, the better the chances of success.
