Dear Candidate:
Thank you for your interest in working with VestedIn and the WesGold Fellows program.
This position begins April-May 2025 and ends August-September 2025.
As we mentioned, we are intersted in more than just your resume and transcript. We are interested in learning about you. Therefore, we ask that you complete a few tasks. The application questions (10-12 minutes), three short answer questions (1 page total), and a video upload (2-3 minutes). These will help us get to know you.
At the end of the application you will be asked to upload your one page document and your headshot. Following your submission, please email your video to wesgoldfellows@vestedin.org. You will likely need to share a drive link with us to upload your full video, i.e. Google or Sharepoint.
Please complete and submit the application immediately. Please submit your essays and video up to 48 hours before your interview. You will receive a link to schedule an interview following your application submission.
Short Answer Questions
The first two short answer questions will uncover your perspective on essential issues and the third will highlight your creativity, research, and prospecting abilities.

Community Economic Development
1. In your own words, what is Community Economic Development? 2. Why is it necessary?
Question 2:
Youth Development
1. What role should the youth play in community economic development? 2. Taking into account the current health, economic, and social climate how could our WesGold Fellows engage in the Philadelphia community this summer?
Question 3:
Business Development
1. Identify (at least) one person, place, or organization, within your network, that you would introduce to the WesGold Fellows in order to help further the program mission. 2. Why would they/this be valuable to our youth? 3. How would you connect with them?
Video: At the end of the application, we ask you to upload a short video (2-3 minutes) explaining why you want to be a WesGold Fellows Coordinator.

WesGold Fellows Calendar
The WesGold Fellows department of VestedIn operates on a hybrid virtual and in-person schedule from April through May, with all Coordinators in-person from June to August, during final preparation for and while leading the summer interns.

WesGold Fellows Program
WesGold Fellows is an 8-week paid internship for high school students focused on financial literacy, real estate, and entrepreneurship.
Our interns are taught:
How money works and how to manage it
How business works and how to succeed in it
How to professionally communicate and network effectively
How to leverage their skills, passions, and interests into careers
How to use their power to positively impact their community
Our Fellows are empowered to:
Expand their perspectives
Learn the keys to financial success and earning income
Engage with mentors and professionals from different fields
Discover their college and career interests
Explore the fundamentals of business and entrepreneurship
Our WesGold Fellows also receive and manage a savings account, with matching funds of up to $2,000 available from VestedIn.
The WesGold Fellows program is an all-encompassing experience which allows our Coordinators to develop their leadership, creativity, corporate and community experience, and so much more. Then as a Coordinator you help empower our Fellows to become the next generation of leaders who will engage, impact and grow our economy.
