Dulin Cooperative Preschool 2025-2026
Dulin Cooperative Preschool admits preschool-aged children from 2 to 5 years of age (by September 30, 2025), regardless of race, color, creed or religion, or national or ethnic origin. Priority applications are accepted from current students, siblings of current students, alumni families, and Dulin United Methodist Church members.

Admission decisions are made in February, and those not receiving immediate offers will be placed on a wait list. Applications and wait lists do not carry over from year to year. Applications submitted after the general registration period will be processed as they are received.

Family Requirements

As a parent-run cooperative, Dulin Cooperative Preschool depends upon and requires active adult participation. Applying for admission constitutes an understanding that the adults are willing and able to provide active involvement in the operations of the preschool. As a parent/guardian at Dulin Cooperative Preschool, and a representative of my family, I would be prepared to complete the following:
- Serve on at least one committee or the Dulin Cooperative Preschool Board of Directors or in an appointed position, each to the satisfaction of the Dulin Cooperative Preschool Board.
- Attend the mandatory orientation prior to the start of the school year and two general membership meetings throughout the school year.
- Participate in parent education & fundraising events throughout the school year.
- Pick up my child on time when class ends.
- Provide an approved snack for the class on scheduled days.
Participating Adult Requirements

I understand that each family must have one or two certified participating adults prepared to complete the following:
- Fulfill required education training hours to be considered eligible to be a certified participating adult, subject to Virginia Department of Education licensing requirements.
- Participate in the classroom and as floater on an assigned basis— usually 1-3 times per month per child.
- Report to school on time for classroom and floating shifts.
- Find a certified participating adult substitute should he/she be unable to participate on a scheduled day.
- Drive or chaperone on at least 1 field trip per year per child (not applicable for the Bears class)
- Communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, as applicable to the job responsibilities and in order to communicate with emergency personnel, as necessary.

Enrollment Process

If you are offered and accept an available class spot, you will receive an Enrollment Agreement. Your child’s spot at Dulin Cooperative Preschool will be secured upon the school’s receipt of the signed Enrollment Agreement and the non-refundable Enrollment Deposit ($300). After that you will receive an email from our Administrative Director with instructions for how to register the enrolled child and the family's participating adults. You must complete all registration steps and forms for the enrolled child and all participating adults by the due date in your email from the Administrative Director. The enrolled child will not be able to attend school unless all registration steps and forms for the child and all participating adults are complete.

The NON-REFUNDABLE application fee for the first student from a family not currently enrolled is $85. For each additional child, the application fee will be $55. The application fee must accompany this form in order to process the application. Please select the correct fee below.
