Induction into the Hall of Fame may be from the following categories:
- Athletes
- Administrators/Sport Officials
- Coaches/Trainers
- Match/Event Officials
To be eligible for this award, the nominee must:
- Be a citizen of Trinidad & Tobago.
- Consistently represented Trinidad & Tobago with distinction & excellence in local & international sport.
- If an all-rounder, must have represented Trinidad & Tobago in at least two (2) sport disciplines.
- With the exception of Sports Administrators, must have retired from representing Trinidad & Tobago in sport for a period of at least three (3) years after last representing T&T at senior international level. However, in the case of posthumous inductions, the case of the three-year stipulation is not required and a deceased athlete can be inducted immediately.
- Administrators & Coaches can be considered while still in office and must have made significant contributions to the development of sport.
- Coaches & Trainers must have worked and Match/Event Officials must have officiated over a number of years at International Level.
- The Foundation reserves the right to not consider a nominee who has acted in such a manner as to bring their sport, team, club or Country into disrepute.
Note: Seventy-five percent of panel members must vote in favour of induction
