Christmas Parade in the Glade Application

LOCATION: Line Up entrance will be the back of Gladeville Middle School on Jackson Road and will end Gladeville Elementary back gate (Glade Church back parking lot) off McCrary Road

PARADE ENTRY GUIDELINES

~All entries are asked to promote the parade theme (Merry Melodies)

~Sorry no extra Santas needed. Our real Santa would be very jealous.     

~Parade participants must be dressed in holiday, festive attire.       

~Candy may be passed out by parade participants, but SHOULD NOT be thrown at the parade audience.                    

VEHICLE ENTRY GUIDELINES

~Vehicle entries do not require an identification banner, but should be decorated with a holiday spirit. Vehicles should be driven in a safe manner and adhere to Tennessee State Law (TCA).      

~ Driver License will need to be shown at check in.      

~ All parade vehicles must be CLEAN, in good running condition.

FLOAT ENTRY GUIDELINES

Floats must have a minimum of 12 inch rails on all sides of trailer (floats)

**Important**
No dangling/hanging legs on sides of float.  This is strictly prohibited. 

~During Parade Line Up-ONLY the vehicle pulling the float will be allowed in staging area. NO EXTRA VEHICLES unless they are to be in the parade! 

~Drivers MUST stay with their floats at all times. Leaving a float/vehicle unattended is strictly prohibited.

~Parade float and entries shall have a banner that identifies the group or organization.

~ ALL Drivers will need to sign Waiver of Liability Form.

 

PARADE STAGING DROP-OFF

~Line up will begin at 12:30pm (Gladeville Middle School).

~The entrance for staging with be on Jackson Road in front of the football field.

~All participants need to be dropped off/lined up by 1:30.

~ All participants need to stay in line up lane with float.

*Children may not be left unattended in line up*

Horse Staging drop off on Jackson Road. Details given day of. 

PARADE END PICK-UP

~Will end at Gladeville Elementary back gate(Glade Church back parking lot) off McCrary Road

❄️All vehicles and floats will end the parade once they enter Gladeville Elementary back gate(Glade Church back parking lot) off McCrary Road. All will veer right forming two lanes and come to a stop to disembark riders. Then will wait to leave once sheriff opens traffic on Stewart’s Ferry Pike.

**NEW**
All riders of Floats needing to be picked up will need to walk to front of school for designated pick up zone. Pick up location will be on the sidewalk facing the Fire Station. 

🎄All walker participants will end the parade once they enter Gladeville Elementary back gate(Glade Church back parking lot) off McCrary Road. All will veer left to the designated pick up zone. Pick up location will be on the sidewalk facing the Fire Station. 

🎅Please let all parents know there will be a designated pick up zone at Gladeville Elementary back gate entrance (Glade Church back parking lot) off McCrary Road once the parade has ended. They will need to enter and veer left. Pick up location will be on the sidewalk facing the Fire Station. 

 **Suggested parking for parents at The Glade Church back parking lot** 

🐴Horse Riders will need to have bags and/or clean up walkers following. All riders are responsible for cleaning parking lots. Horse trailers may be parked beside Gladeville Community Center at softball field.

Horses will not be permitted to ride along the roadways prior to the parade or at the end of the parade due to the increased traffic. Therefore, it is important that participants drop the horse and riders off at the staging area. More staging area details will be explained day of event.

Waiver of Liability

I, the undersigned, in consideration of my participation in the Gladeville Christmas Parade, do hereby release and forever discharge the community of Gladeville, Wilson County officials, Wilson County Sheriffs, Gladeville Community Center, directors, volunteers, partners, jointly and severally, from any and all liability related to any and all personal injury, illness, death, property damage or other occurence which I may suffer in any manner whatsoever arising out of, or resulting from, participation in said Christmas Parade. 

I expressly assume ALL risks of my participation in the Parade, including, without limitation, injury as a result of the acts of omission any of the above-named parties, or some defect in or on the County's property, whether caused by negligence or otherwise, except for illness or injury resulting directly from the gross neglgemce or intentional misconduct on the part of the Community.

I agree to indemnify, save, hold harmless and defend the community of Gladeville, Wilson County officials, Wilson County Sheriffs, Gladeville Community Center, directors, volunteers, partners, of and from any and all loss, damages, expenses, costs, judgements, and attorney's fees arising out of or resulting from my participation in the Parade, including but not limited to any damages arising out of negligent or intentional conduct of other participants or other third parties. I UNDERSTAND THAT THE COMMUNITY OF GLADEVILLE IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SUPERVISION OF PARADE.

I certify that any vehicle(s) driven by me (if any) in the Parade has insurance that conforms to the laws of the State of Tennessee. I, likewise, certify that if I drive a vehicle in the Christmas Parade, I have a current valid driver's license.

I CERTIFY THAT I HAVE READ AND UNDERSTAND THIS WAIVER AND RELEASE AND THAT, IF SIGNING ON BEHALF OF AN ORGANIZATION, I AM AN AUTHORIZED AGENT OF SAID ORGANIZATION WITH THE POWER TO BIND AND CONTRACT ON BEHALF OF SAID ORGANIZATION.
