• CTeen NY Shabbaton 2026 - 5786

    Initial application
  • WHEN:
    February 18 – February 22, 2026
We fly out on Wednesday, February 18th, and arrive back in Manchester on Monday, February 22nd.

    WHERE:
The Shabbaton takes place in Brooklyn, New York — right in the heart of the Chabad community of Crown Heights, next to Chabad World Headquarters (770 Eastern Parkway).

    ACCOMMODATION:
Where possible, teens are hosted in groups of three or four with personally known and vetted host families.
In some cases, we also arrange Airbnbs with a chaperone staying with them.

    CHAPERONES:
We maintain a 1:5 chaperone ratio, ensuring each teen has dedicated care and supervision.
Sholom and Mushky are available at all times for the teens and to manage the chaperone team.

    SECURITY:
Your teen’s safety is our top priority.

CTeen and the Chabad Security Commission work closely with the New York Police Department (NYPD), Counterterrorism Unit, Port Authority, Transit Police, the Mayor’s Office, and other public safety agencies to ensure the security of all participants.

The Chabad Security Commission has extensive experience in this field — including providing security for the International Conference of Chabad Shluchim, which hosts over 5,000 attendees twice a year.

All agencies are fully briefed on the weekend’s schedule and program. The NYPD will provide extra patrols and have stations present throughout the weekend. Private security will also be on duty at every entry and exit of each event, workshop, and trip, as well as patrolling Crown Heights and Manhattan — especially during evening events.

For safety reasons, teens will not be allowed to walk alone in Crown Heights or Manhattan without a chaperone.

  • Shabbaton cost

  • The weekend is a jam packed experience of a lifetime.

As you can imagine, with travel, accommodation, program, overheads etc the Shabbaton is costly.

We appreciate that times may be difficult and as such we are trying our hardest to keep the cost as low as possible.

    There are two fees:

    1) Shabbaton registration fee of $309 (£230)

This is paid to CTeen International & is due when registering.

There is an opening day discount of $25 which brings it down to $284 (which is about £212).

    2) Travel & accommodation fee of £999

This fee covers the airfare and accommodation which is paid directly to CTeen Manchester.

This payment is due by the end of January 2025.
