About the Northumberland Eats 2.0 Grow Fund
We understand that Northumberland County can feed Northumberland County by engaging local farmers in food security programs. These grants would allow local agencies to promote sustainable and locally sourced food systems. Our purpose behind Grow grants is to support local and often grassroots agencies that are operating as food banks/hubs and applications would show at least result in 1 of the following outcomes:
1. Supporting Local Agriculture
2. Healthier Food Choices
3. Community Engagement
4. Environmental Benefits
In summary, grow or farm-to-table grants contribute to healthier communities, stronger local economies, and a more sustainable food system.
