This form is for Nominees for BWF Council elections. Nominees must complete this form as part of the nomination process no later than Friday 6 December 2024.

There are no formal requirements related to badminton or other experience or expertise to become a BWF Council member. Write down the most important information about your background and experience. See the Council Elections 2025 page of the website for more information on the role of Council and duties of Council members.

When you complete this form, you will receive a pdf of the information you provide us. This will be sent to the email address you provide below.

Privacy Notice: The below information about your qualifications and experience will be used to write your profile for the “Council Elections 2025” on the BWF website and for the meeting papers for the AGM. It will also be communicated to the Independent Vetting Panel (IVP). This information will be kept for as long as it is useful to document the Council Elections 2025.

I understand and agree that:
by submitting my nomination, I am bound by the relevant BWF Statutes, in particular the BWF Constitution, the Badminton Code of Ethics and the Code of Conduct for Candidates for Elections.I also need to complete Form C – Vetting Declaration Form accurately and thoroughly and submit this to the Vetting Officer (vetting@sportresolutions.com).under the BWF Constitution (Appendix II - Vetting Rules), to be elected, I will need to be declared ‘Eligible’ by the Independent Vetting Panel in accordance with Clause 2 of the Vetting Rules.if declared not ‘Eligible’, my nomination will be withdrawn (Clause 7.2.2 of the Vetting Rules), subject to the rights of appeal included in Clause 7.3 of the Vetting Rulesthe Vetting Rules prevent certain BWF Officials from holding two or more positions simultaneously (see Clauses 2.3.9 and 8 of the Vetting Rules). If this applies to me and I am elected, I will need to resign from my existing position before sitting on the BWF Council.
