CABMA Mentor Me Mentor Application 2020-21

First Line Mentor Nomination Form

The CABMA Mentor Me program is a one (1) year program that pairs an experienced athletics business professional (First Line Mentor) with an emerging professional (Protégé) in the industry.

Mentor Me is designed to foster professional career and personal growth, as well as encourage an organizational commitment to CABMA by connecting members, empowering them with knowledge, and ultimately allowing them to grow and lead. All Participants receive in-depth training in mentoring techniques and leadership principles.

To be eligible for the program, a prospective first line mentor must:

Be a current, dues-paying member of CABMA
Have/make plans to attend the 2025 CABMA Convention (Strongly encouraged but not mandatory)
Be willing and able to schedule and complete at least 4 calls/meetings with assigned protégé throughout the course of the year

The ideal first line mentor candidate will:

Guide and facilitate conversation about challenges/opportunities, questions, career trends, etc.
Serve as a resource for their assigned protégé
Be consistent and follow through
Support and assist the protégé with the identification of their goals

To apply, please complete this application in its entirety no later than Sunday, December 15, 2024. The CABMA Mentor Me leadership team will notify the selected participants in early January. The program will officially kick off at the 2025 CABMA Convention in June 2025.
