Advocate for safe Artificial Intelligence in the EU
EU AI Policy, Co-Lead (80-100%, Brussels or remote)
Pour Demain is a European think tank conducting research and advocating for the safe development and deployment of artificial intelligence (AI) within Europe. The Co-Lead EU AI Policy is tasked with shaping policies at the European Union level that capitalise on AI's benefits while minimising its risks. Main duties involve the preparation of policy proposals and their presentation to EU policymakers. Thematic tracks range from the enforcement of the EU AI Act and other relevant EU legislation, to technical AI standards (CEN/CENELEC).

- Start date: 1.1.2025 (latest 1.3.2025). Earlier start dates can be accommodated
- Location: ideally Brussels or remote (with frequent travel to Brussels and occasional travel to other European cities)
- Type of employment: full-time or 4 days per week (0.8 FTE)
We are looking for:
- Affinity for EU politics (ideally, with at least a few years of experience)
- Experience in AI risk management (ideally, with at least a few years of experience)
- Enjoyment of daily interactions with politicians and EU officials
- High degree of autonomy, self-organisation, project management
- High resilience, ability to deal with setbacks, and stakeholders with differing beliefs
- Ability to cover the full range of tasks: from the substantive preparation of a topic in a policy brief through research and writing to the practical implementation of public affairs and PR activities
- Excellent English skills. French and German are a plus.
