To complete the Project BLENDS application:
- Complete this online application form
- Resume: Make sure to include education, evidence of prior work with children through work, educational and volunteer experiences, professional honors and/or awards, and professional activities (such as membership in professional organizations, etc.). Save this as a Word document or PDF with your name in the file name (e.g., jane_smith_resume.doc)
- Write a personal statement Save this as a Word document or PDF with your name in the file name (e.g., jane_smith_personal_statement.doc)
- Why are you interested in Project BLENDS? What do you hope to gain for yourself, your community, and/or your culture?
- Describe your prior experience (personal, professional, and/or educational) working with children and families.
- Describe your professional/career goals.
- In addition, participating in Project BLENDS requires a service obligation of working for two years in a position providing services to young children and their families. Please describe your commitment to working with young children and their families after graduation.
- Graduate transcripts Save this PDF with your name in the file name (e.g., jane_smith_UAA_transcript.pdf) (include if currently enrolled in a graduate program, unofficial graduate transcripts are acceptable).
- Letter of reference/support Include a letter of reference from someone who can speak to your prior work (or potential for work) with children and/or families.
You will be able to "Save" and return to the application later as you move through it.
