We are very excited you have chosen to foster-to-adopt with us! Foster-to-adopt means you are trying things out to make sure the cat you've chosen is a good fit for your and your family. But it is also your intention to adopt.

By signing this contract, you are telling us that, if all goes well, you will adopt within 30 days of signature of this contract OR on the date or neuter/spay (whichever is first).

 Here are the steps in the process:

1. FEE PAYMENT: Pay the adoption fee. Adoption Fee must be paid PRIOR to receiving cat(s). The fee is refundable only if you decide the cat is not a good fit and return them to us within 30 days of the signature of this contract.
2. THE PROCESS: We will schedule a meet-and-greet/pick up at the foster home. If it is successful and everyone feels comfortable, you may take the kitty home at that time.
3. WHAT YOU AGREE TO DO: You agree to review and abide by this contract and the Foster Resources. You agree to return the cat on request of Maria Meows for any reason.
4. WHO PAYS FOR SUPPLIES & VET: Because you intend to adopt, you assume responsiblity for the cost of all supplies and veterinary care during the foster-to-adopt process.
5. WE ARE HERE FOR YOU: During the 30 day foster-to-adopt period, call us first and immediately if there are any issues. We are here to be a resource to assure your success. Call us  immediately if kitty has diarrhea, vomitting or does not eat, poop or pee for more than 24 hours. We will arrange for veterinary appointments. You agree to pay for vet services and transport to and from the vet. 
6. ONGOING CONTACT: During the foster-to-adopt phase, you agree to update us least once a week to make sure all is well.
7. TERM OF AGREEMENT: At the end of the 30 days, adoption must be finalized or the cat(s) must be returned to Maria Meows. To finalize the adoption, you must complete, sign and date the Adoption Contract within 30 days from today.

You agree to keep all foster-to-adopt cats from Maria Meows inside at all times and not rehome them to anyone else. All foster-to-adopters must be 25-years or older.

In consideration of being permitted to foster-to-adopt an animal from Maria Meows:

1. I understand that the completion of this form is a binding agreement that states I/we will be fostering the above listed cat(s) and we are not the owners at this current time.

2. Foster-to-adopt period lasts for a maximum of 30 days after which adoption contract must be signed or cat must be returned to Maria Meows. Before the end of 30 days from this date, I will notify Maria Meows if I want to finalize the adoption. If I do not finalize the adoption within 30 days, I will return the cat to Maria Meows and Maria Meows will reimburse my adoption fee.

3. I understand that if Maria Meows reserves the right to schedule a time to to a wellness check at its discretion.

2. I agree to provide all supplies and veterinary care necessary for the cat, because at this time, it is my/our intent to adopt this above mentioned cat(s) when they are eligible for adoption.

3. I agree to keep this cat(s) INDOORS at all times. 

4. I will only return the cat or kitten to Maria Meows and WILL NOT place them with anyone else or give them to any other rescue, release them onto the streets or surrender them to any shelter. Maria Meows will take them back no questions asked for any reason.

5. I acknowledge that I am aware of and assume the risks associated with being around animals, including but not limited to the risks of being bitten scratched, jumped upon, knocked over, chased, tripped, infected with a disease, or otherwise injured or frightened, as well as the risks of damage to personal property and that Maria Meows cannot guarantee the temperament the animal(s) I am fostering may have. I am not an agent of  Maria Meows, and I hereby accept responsibility for the animal(s) in my care. 

4. I hereby agree to indemnify and hold harmless and not sue Maria Meows, its employees, agents, members, directors, officers, or any affiliated entities thereof, from any and all loss or damage and any claim or demands therefore on account of injury to a person or property or death arising out of or related to fostering an animal from Maria Meows.

6. Maria Meows reserves the right to demand return of the cat at any time for any reason, and I must return the cat to Maria Meows immediately on their request for any reason.
