Adoption Application
Our mission is to end needless euthanasia at shelters by rescuing and finding suitable lifetime homes for our rescue kitties.

To be considered for adoption you must:
 Be at least 21 years old
 Have knowledge and consent of all adults living in your household.
 Have verifiable identification.

We want to make sure the cat you wish to adopt will be best suited for you, your home, lifestyle, and be placed in an environment most compatible with its needs; please provide us with the following information.

You will be contacted by a Snow Camp representative by either phone, text, or email within 5 business days after Snow Camp receives your application. We are all volunteers, please be patient.

All our kitties are fostered in private homes. The feral kitties live at the Snow Camp Sanctuary.

Snow Camp offers a 2-week trial adoption period for you to decide whether our kitty is right for you and your household. Some cats/ dogs require a period of a week or two to adjust to their new home/environment/ other pets. If you are having issues, we will coach you through how to help your new kitty transition to your home. If you have questions, please contact us. It’s no bother at all.

Please contact us for tips to help or if the kitty doesn’t feel well, which sometimes happens due to stress.
This questionnaire is designed to help Snow Camp Sanctuary find the best possible home for our adoptable cats and kittens. All adopting parties are required to complete this form prior to adoption. Snow Camp Sanctuary reserves the right to deny any adoption based on answers to this questionnaire and/or interviews prior to adoptions.

Please notify your Veterinarian(s) to give permission for Snow Camp Sanctuary to speak with us about your pets (present or past).

Snow Camp Sanctuary attempts to give an honest evaluation of any cat based on our assessment or that of the source. Should you encounter any behavourial concerns, please contact us so we are able to work together to resolve the issues.

All cats are non-transferable. If you need to give the kitty up, you are to contact Bev Rice, Rescue Director/Adoptions by phone at 262-894-5975, or by email at snowcamp_furever@yahoo.com or Carrie Dunne, Treasurer/Adoptions at 801-550-9231 or carrie@snowcampfurever.com and we will take the kitty back. Kitties are not to be surrendered to a shelter or re-homed.

We adhere to a strict INDOOR ONLY and NO DECLAWING policy. At time of adoption /pick up, we require you to secure the carrier in the car with a seat belt or similar device and you agree that you will not hold the kitty in your lap while driving or as a passenger. In the event of an accident, an air bag deployment can kill the kitty.

All applications are evaluated without bias. We evaluate based on the needs of the cat. Applications are not guarantee of acceptance. Any falsehoods will be automatic disqualification.

I understand that I assume full responsibility for the welfare of this pet from the date of adoption, including keeping the pet up to date on the rabies vaccine.

By submitting this application, I affirm that what I have submitted is truthful and complete. I agree to hold Snow Camp Sanctuary harmless for any illness, and/or injury, and/or damage inflicted upon any person, property or personal pets, post adoption. Terms of this agreement are binding.
