Duties and Expectations for the Committee Members of Sigma Public Education and Research Foundation (SPEAR)
Requirements/Skills
- Commitment to the mission of SPEAR
- Ability to work productively with other people
- Willingness to make the required time commitment
- Willingness to be regularly accessible by telephone or other means
- Able to use the technological skills needed to meet via webinar, teleconference, etc. for committee meetings
- Must be a member in good standing of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc.
Expectations
- Attendance and participation in all meetings of the committees of SPEAR
- Attendance at workshops, trainings and other meetings that are scheduled
- Promotion of the mission and goals of SPEAR, particularly within the region represented
- Have access to a computer that supports video or webinar conferencing
- The Regional Representative will be the primary source of contact in your region
- Support SPEAR programs in the region
Time Commitment
Two-year term of service
1-2 hours of preparation and meeting time per committee meeting
Active participation in monthly/quarterly committee meetings
I understand and agree to uphold these expectations as a SPEAR Committee Member.
