1. In case of an emergency, you grant Complete K9 Care permission to secure veterinary care for your dog, with the understanding that you will assume responsibility for associated fees. While we will make every reasonable effort to contact you (or your emergency contact) first, your agreement to this provision ensures prompt and necessary action in the event of unforeseen circumstances.
2. During the period in which your pet is entrusted into the supervision of Complete K9 Care, we are committed to taking every possible measure to ensure the safety and well-being of your dog. However, it is imperative to acknowledge that boarding animals may inherently entail certain associated risks. While unlikely, your signiture will hereby serve to consent to relinquish any and all claims, demands, or actions against Complete K9 Care in the unlikely event of injury or illness sustained by your dog during their stay.
3. Complete K9 Care will not be held responsible for any pre-existing conditions or injuries your dog may have, or for any conditions that may develop during or after their stay. It is the sole responsibility of the Owner/Rescue/Agency to inform Complete K9 Care of any pre-existing conditions and provide any necessary medication and/or instructions for their care. Your signiture confirms that your dog is in good health (to the best of your knowledge) and up-to-date on all required vaccinations.
4. Certain training tools may be essential for the overall success of your dogs training. It is the sole responsibility of the Owner/Rescue/Agency to purchase all necessary training tools prior to the final training session. The effectiveness of the training is contingent upon the use of the specified tools and failure to procure them may impact the quality of the training and the ongoing success of your dogs training once back in your care.
5. The date for the final session will be provided to you once we have an Intake Date secured. We cannot overemphasise the critical importance of your commitment to attending the final session as it plays a pivotal role in the ongoing training and management of your dog. During this session, we will provide comprehensive instructions to equip you with the necessary knowledge to seamlessly continue the program. If you are unable to attend the final session on the provided date, additional boarding fees may be applicable. We assure you that we make every effort to collaborate with our clients, considering factors such as the duration of additional boarding, our availability, and the notice period provided.
6. To secure a spot in our Board & Train program, a $500 non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking. This deposit holds your reservation and is applied toward the total program cost. Because we reserve your dog’s training spot and allocate staff and resources specifically for your booking, the deposit is not refundable under any circumstances. However, with a minimum of 72 hours’ notice, the deposit may be transferred up to two (2) times to a new intake date, based on availability. The remaining balance is due in full on the first day of intake, prior to the start of training. If a dog is removed from the program early, for any reason—including behavioural challenges, health concerns, owner request, or other unforeseen factors—no automatic refund will be issued. Any refund for unused days will be at the sole discretion of Complete K9 Care, based on the circumstances surrounding the early withdrawal and the amount of training already completed. Once the program has been completed, no refunds will be issued. At this point, all services have been fully delivered, and because every dog’s long-term results depend heavily on owner consistency, routine, and follow-through at home, Complete K9 Care cannot be held responsible for behavioural regression or incidents once the dog leaves our facility. For this reason, no post-completion refunds or credits are offered. Despite this, we proudly provide lifetime support for all dogs who complete our Board & Train program. This includes ongoing guidance and troubleshooting as long as owners follow the training structure, tools, and protocols taught during the program. Our commitment to supporting your dog continues well beyond graduation.
7. During boarding and training, some dogs may experience mild and temporary changes such as soft stool or diarrhea, minor weight loss, increased licking, or occasional skin irritation. These responses are generally normal as dogs adjust to a new environment and routine. We may apply safe anti-lick sprays and anti-bacterial topical ointment when appropriate for licking or skin irritations, and may add psyllium husk to your dogs food if we see loose stools or diarrhea. We will always notify you of any concerns or changes we observe. By signing below, you acknowledge these potential but uncommon side effects and understand that they do not indicate illness or improper care.
8. Our Board & Train program has a minimum duration of four (4) weeks, allowing adequate time to address behavioural issues, build reliable obedience, and most importantly, build trust between the dog and their trainer. In some cases—particularly with dogs requiring additional behaviour modification, confidence-building, or reinforcement of specific training goals—an extended stay of up to five (5) or six (6) weeks may be recommended by our trainers to ensure the dog’s long-term success. While additional time is rarely needed, we kindly ask that owners trust and support our professional recommendation should an extension be suggested, as it is always made with the dog’s best interest in mind. Any additional days beyond the initial four-week program will be billed at $100 per day, plus applicable taxes. This ensures each dog receives the time, attention, and consistency needed to achieve the best possible results.
We will always do our best to address all agreed-upon training goals within the allotted timeframe. However, due to each dog’s individual progress and learning pace, our trainers will prioritize the most serious or safety-related concerns first to ensure that foundational behaviour and overall reliability are achieved before moving on to less critical objectives. This approach ensures your dog’s training is both ethical and effective, setting them up for lasting success at home.
9. If a dog is not picked up within five (5) days of the scheduled pickup date, and no communication has been made, the dog will be considered abandoned. Complete K9 Care reserves the right to rehome, surrender to a rescue, or place the dog in appropriate care. The Owner will be responsible for all boarding, care, and legal fees incurred during this time.
