  • Acknowledgment of Cost

This portion is an acknowledgment that you understand the cost requirement to attend Boys State and the options that are available should payment be a concern.
  • The cost to attend Mississippi American Legion Boys State is $275. This fee covers all meals, housing, and program activities for the duration of the week.

Payment is not due until May 16, 2026. Payment instructions will be shared with you upon acceptance.

Cost should never prevent a student from attending Boys State. There are many resources available within local communities to help cover the cost of participation. As a first step, we encourage you to contact a nearby American Legion Post to inquire about available sponsorships or scholarships. A list of Mississippi American Legion Posts can be found on the “Cost” page of our website.

Again, cost should never be a barrier to participation. If you need additional assistance or have questions about financial support, please contact us at info@msboysstate.com.

  • Code of Conduct

This portion is an acknowledgment of our Code of Conduct and should be read by both the applicant and a parent/guardian.

Upon dismissal, written notice stating the reason for dismissal will be provided to parents or guardians, sponsors, and school officials. In the event of dismissal, the delegate is responsible for reimbursing his sponsor for all program expenses.

Delegates are honor-bound to report serious violations of these standards that pose a safety risk or threaten the integrity of the program.

The Director has the authority to dismiss a delegate or refer a matter to law enforcement if a delegate is found to be, or reasonably suspected of being, in violation of these standards. Decisions will be made based on the information available at the time and in the best interest of the safety, order, and integrity of the program.
