Dubuque Food Scraps Recycling Program Survey
The City of Dubuque seeks to reduce waste to save landfill space and protect the environment. As part of this effort, the City of Dubuque has a food scrap recycling program to collect food scraps from households and businesses and haul it to a local composting facility. Your input on this 5-minute survey will help us improve the food scraps program and inform future educational materials. All questions are optional unless noted otherwise. Your response will be aggregated with others for reporting; all responses will be kept confidential and anonymous. Your feedback is greatly appreciated!

Food scraps recycling, sometimes referred to as composting, refers to the process of taking organic waste and “recycling” it into nutrient-rich soil that can be used for gardening. Organic waste includes fruit and veggie scraps (like apple cores, strawberry stems, carrot peels, etc.), coffee grounds, eggshells, food-related paper (like napkins and paper towels), leftover food that has gone bad, etc. This survey is about Dubuque’s curbside collection of these items. Note: Dubuque’s food scraps recycling program does not accept meat and dairy products.
