Essex Community Development Corporation is thrilled to announce that we were awarded a State of Maryland DHCD Project Restore 2.0 grant to contribute to supporting the commercial revitalization of Eastern Boulevard in Essex, Maryland. With this grant, Essex CDC will assist in activating two vacant properties on Eastern Blvd. in Essex, support small businesses, create job opportunities, improve the Eastern Blvd. commercial corridor, and increase local economic activity. Through a competitive application process, we will award a pre-determined amount of funding to two businesses for renovation, equipment, and other costs associated with having a brick and mortar business on Eastern Blvd.

There is a likelihood that the funds coming from this grant may not cover the full cost of a fit out. How do you plan to cover any remaining costs? Example: business loan, personal loan, etc.
Lease negotiations will take place after the selection and matching process and will happen between the property owner and potential new tenant. That said, are you able and/or willing to consider a lease agreement of at least 3-5 years or more?
