To participate in the USA ICON program, titleholders must read and adhere to the following eligibility, rules and regulations
Citizenship:
Titleholders must be U.S. citizens and remain so through the state/regional and national pageants if they advance.
Age:
Titleholders will compete in their age division based upon their age on January 1st of the competition year.
Titleholders aged 9 may compete if they turn 10 by the national pageant.
Titleholders may advance to a higher age category, such as Preteen to Teen or Teen to Miss. Once a titleholder has transitioned to a new age group, they cannot revert to a previous category.
Health and Character:
Titleholders must be in good health and possess strong moral character.
Age Verification:
Titleholders must provide legal documentation, such as a birth certificate or passport, to verify age.
Gender:
Titleholders must be recognized medically and legally as female in the United States.
Marital Status:
Preteen and Teen: Titleholders must never have been married or had a marriage annulled.
Miss: Miss: Must be unmarried at time of competition and remain unmarried through duration of reign
Mrs: Mrs titleholders must be currently married and provide legal documentation of their marriage.
Parental Status:
Preteen and Teen: Titleholders must never have given birth, be a parent or guardian of any other adult or minor, or be currently pregnant.
Criminal Record:
Titleholders must not have been convicted of a felony.
Fees:
Titleholders will be responsible for all competition and ad page fees.
Titleholders:
Titleholders may not hold a "national" title with any other system as of July of the competition year.
Media Conduct:
Titleholders must never have posed, nor will pose during their reign, for any photography, video, or media associated with nudity or pornography.
Titleholders must not have been involved in any form of employment involving partial or complete nudity.
Judges' Decisions:
Titleholders agree to accept the decisions of the judges at local, state, and national competitions.
Sportsmanship:
Unsportsmanlike behavior by titleholders, family members, or guests will result in disqualification without a refund.
Publicity:
Titleholders permit USA ICON Pageants and their licensees to use their photographs for publicity purposes related to all competitions.
Media Rights:
Titleholders agree to allow USA ICON and their licensees to televise live, or by any other media, any portion or all of the competitions.
National Representation:
If selected as a state representative, titleholders agree to attend national competitions and abide by all rules or forfeit their title and prize package.
Late Payments & Paperwork:
Any late payments or paperwork will be noted on the titleholder's official judges' application.
Title Relinquishment:
If a titleholder relinquishes her title for any reason, all prizes must be returned in full and in the condition received, or the titleholder must financially reimburse the pageant and sponsors.
Management:
Winners agree that for one year, their professional affairs will be managed solely by USA ICON Pageants and/or their licensees. They will not give any commercial endorsements without expressed permission.
Fees and Refunds:
All fees paid are final and non-refundable. Titleholders may defer their entry for one year if unable to compete but will incur a fee for a new sash.
Rights to Appearances:
USA ICON retains exclusive rights to any appearances, endorsements, speaking engagements, acting roles, etc., resulting from winning or participating in any regional, state, or national competition.
