The AARC invites interested parties to submit a letter of intent (LOI) that is no more than two single-spaced pages for possible funding to support APRT development initiatives.
The primary purpose of the AARC Advanced RT Fund is to provide seed funding to colleges/universities to support the development of APRT curriculum programs and for state affiliates to support legislative initiatives for APRT state licensure.
Examples of activities that the funding may support include, but are not limited to:
- Faculty course release time
- Curriculum development consultation
- Lobbyist services
- Workgroups for drafting legislative/regulatory language
The letter of intent should address the following:
Colleges and Universities
- Status of institutional accreditation and ability to award a master’s degree or higher
- Statement and description of collaboration with state affiliate
- Statement of support from administration (e.g., department chair, dean)
- Description of education plan to develop an APRT program, including any current efforts in the development process and current status
- General description of use of funding (not a complete budget)
State Affiliates
- Statement and description of support from state affiliate
List of collaborating universities that can award minimum degree requirements
- Statement and description of support from legislative representative and/or licensing board/agency
- Description of a plan to develop advocacy efforts for legislative or regulatory initiatives (e.g., lobbyist) for APRT licensure, including any current efforts underway
- General description of use of funding (not a complete budget)
Applications of any amount up to $30,000 will be accepted based on available funding. Please note that the amount of the grant will cover direct expenses only and will not cover indirect overhead costs associated with administrative operations.
