    Who is the American Spikers League?

    The American Spikers League is an organization that engages with roundnet athletes and leaders in North America though interclub competeition, leagues, and the Program Playoffs. 

    What are the ASL Playoffs?

    The ASL Playoffs is in it's third year. It is the most anticipated 2 Day Roundnet Event of the year, where over 1,000 Athletes across 112 clubs are expected to attend this year. Clubs will be divided into 14 different conferences and compete to be crowned the best roundnet club in North America.

      Day 2 Bracket Fun

      Compete in smaller 8-12 team brackets on Day 2, giving every team the chance to shine in a bracket of their own. Each bracket will have its own podium and cash prizes, ensuring more teams get to experience that winning moment.

      Earn Premier Status

      • Top 3 squads in the Contender division will earn Premier status.
      • In the Premier division, reaching the top bracket means all players either earn or requalify for Premier, so every match counts towards staying among the best.

      Exciting Match Format

      Matches go to 21 points, bringing intense competition.

      On Day 2, if matches end tied, get ready for the electrifying Overtime Round: the top two players from each squad will pair off for a bonus, shorter game to determine the winner. It’s a can’t-miss moment that promises high drama and incredible energy.

      Each squad will need to have exactly 7 players registered. We are not having 8-person teams this year.  Although each squad can register up to 2 coaches.

      Premier Division

      Teams must have at least 2 currently qualified premier players.  A player would still be considered premier qualified for this event if they were premier during the 2024 season. There is no limit to how many premier players you can have on your team. 

      Contender Division

      This division is for non-premier players. Players who were STS Premier Qualified at any point in the 2024 season are not eligible. Former premier players (were not qualified during 2024) may participate, but a team cannot consist entirely of such players.

      Soft-registration means a player registers but does not have to pay at the time they register. This locks in their price and secures thier spot on your squad. They can pay at registration or later.

      • November 14th: Each squad needs 4 players soft registered. (Price goes up $5)
      • November 21st: Each squad needs 5 players soft registered. 2 players need to have paid. (Price goes up $5)
      • November 30th: Each squad needs 6 players soft registered. 3 players need to have paid. (Price goes up $5)
      • December 14th: Each squad needs 7 players soft registered. 5 players need to have paid. 
      • December 18th: Team Logo and official club boundary needs submitted.
      • December 28th: Final deadline. All 7 players must be registered and paid.
      • December 29th: Boundary valiadation begins by ASL.
      • January 5th: Squad player ranking deadline. Squads rankings will be published online for all other players to review to ensure they pass the public sniff test for accuracy.

      • Boundary Center: The club owner selects a city as the center of their club's boundary for playoffs, based on these rules:
        • Players must reside/live at an address for at least 40 days during the 2024 year.
        • Any city can be chosen, provided the owner lives within the boundary. The city's center is determined by its Google Maps GPS coordinates.
        • The boundary extends 30 miles in all directions from the city center.

      Boundary Rules

      • Player boundary rules:
        • At least 4 players must live within the 30-mile boundary.
        • Up to 3 players can come from within 100 miles of the boundary center.
        • Players outside the 100-mile radius may join the closest club.

      Women's Club Boundary

      • The boundary extends to 100 miles from the boundary center. 2 players must live inside the boundary. 5 of your women players may live up to 300 miles away from the boundary center.  Players may live in another boundary.

      To claim prizes, players must provide proof of residency after the tournament. If valid proof can't be provided, the entire squad will forfeit their prizes. Acceptable documents include current medical bills, mortgage documents, bank statements, or lease agreements. Verbal proof will not be accepted. Please ensure all players genuinely meet residency requirements.

      You will not need to provide your center until after your 7 players have all registered.

    • Red circles are an example of a contender/premier 30 miles squad boundary. 4 of your players must live in the circle. 3 of your players may live within 100 miles and may live in another boundary.

    • Blue circles are an example of a womens 100 mile radius squad boundary. 2 of your players must live in the circle. Then up to 5 of your women players may live up to 300 miles and may live in another boundary.
